Introduction to CQUST

Chongqing University of Science and Technology is a full-time public university of general education with a history of over 60 years and good reputation. It is mainly focused on engineering fields featuring petroleum, chemistry, metallurgy, material science, mechanics, electronics, safety and environmental protection, the breath of its academic endeavor covers sciences, engineering, economics, management, laws, humanities and arts. The institution is characterized by coordinated development of multiple disciplines, prominent competitive advantages in industries and distinctive features in academics, and it holds tremendous potential for further progress.

The university covers a total area of approximately 140 hectares and a total construction area of 530, 000 square meters, with teaching facilities worth 260 million RMB Yuan. Its library with the construction area of over 42,000 square meters possesses a collection of nearly 2.26 million books and a wide range of digital resources.

The university devotes to provide a good studying, living and researching environment for students, which is beneficial to their growth and all-round development. Tips：

2  The international students’ apartment is equipped with elevator, bathroom, balcony, toilet, shower, air-conditioner, internet access and so forth. Besides, public kitchen with refrigerator, microwave oven, electromagnetic oven, washing room with washers are also offered.

2  Besides the bedroom rates, students should pay for the use of electricity, water, gas and internet services.

2  The meal fee in the campus for one student is around 30RMB per day.

Located in Chongqing University Town, Chongqing University of Science & Technology is convenient in public transportation, surrounded by beautiful environment and comfortable for living. There are complete sports facilities, and students can use basket ball court, volleyball court and table tennis court for free. Swimming pool and tennis court could be used at low charges.
